Leaving Steeltown

It's been awhile! If you follow me on Instagram you'll know I was in Berlin late Nov to early Dec. I stayed for 10 days and had an amazing time. Of course I was on vacation so who wouldn't have a good time? I met the most amazing people, had the wildest experiences, and of course (as most do when visiting Berlin) I fell in love with the city.

I played tourist of course. Saw the wall and hung around East side Gallery as soon as I got off the plane. Then of days wandering the core neighborhoods of Berlin. I ate truffles and drank coffee in the Christmas Markets. Saw the Brandenburg Gate, and of course paid respects to the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. I ran around almost every park in my area while drinking beer, and walked along the Canal. I stayed with my friend Taylor in Neukölln and became very familiar with the area and thought to myself, sitting in a cafe called 'Tennis', that I HAD to live in Berlin.

Of course there was partying and I went to the Berghain! WHAT an experience that was. I got to go into the basement of Ficken 3000 and saw some interesting things. Danced on stage with a drag queen to Brittany Spears! Also a friend from Canada contacted me and let me watch Vanna, Trash Boat, and Beartooth from side stage at Club Lido. That was the night I almost wound up in Poland without my passport and only 5 Euros in my purse. I am very grateful for watching side stage because I would not have survived that crowd. German's know how to mosh and it was so crazy to watch! When leaving Berlin I cried like a baby. I knew where I wanted to be. When I came back its all I could think about but had some attachments here that made me question if it was possible. Those issues seemed to work themselves out and now I have nothing standing in my way. SO now I'm changing the blog. I'm going to show my process of getting to Berlin and my new life in Europe. I'm so nervous and excited. See you in the Spring Germany!

Heather Hang's out in Hamilton: Supercrawl

I haven't really gotten to participate in Supercrawl for the past 2 summers since I'm always working it. But I managed to get a few snap shots and on Sunday I went for a walk around the street and went to see Junior Boys to finish off the crawl. On Sunday, we got some new stock and artists in before the crawl started for Shine.

\

After I got my hair done at Cameron's Hair Studio (link to that post here), I walked around and went to go see the Junior boys play.

Here's a little video of my walk around Sunday Supercrawl featuring music from The Archer's Son.

Favorite T.V Shows

I get asked a lot about what I'm watching and my favorite shows are so here's a list of my favorites! I'm not a movie buff but I do love my t.v shows. The first is not a surprise to anyone that knows me...

Gilmore Girls

How can anyone not love this show? So many people think its just a show about a mother and daughter that talk really fast. But of course its so much more. Not only is it filled with smart, witty jokes and amazing references to pop culture it is about relationships with everyone. I love re-watching it as an "adult" to see how I've changed my opinion on which relationships to idolize, and how they handle their relationships outside of their mother daughter bond. I've watched this show so many times its ridiculous. I just finished I believe my 8th time re-watching the series to brush up for the November 25th Netflix Mini Series! YAAAAAS Gilmore Girls!!

The Leftovers

The leftovers is about the sudden disappearance of 140 million people, 2% of the world's population, on October 14, 2011. The show starts a year after this unexplained incident. Cults pop up, people aren't coping, was it aliens? Was it god? Was it a shift into an alternate universe? This show is SO GOOD. I'm excited to start the 3rd season.

Being Erica

I'm re-watching this show now. I really like it and feel like it didn't get the props it should have! A Canadian made show that even has a cameo of Aubrey pre-Drake. It is about a woman that has hit rock bottom and has a list of regrets that hold her back from living the life she wants. She meets Doctor Tom, a therapist, who has the power to send her back to her most life changing moments.

 Big Love

Big Love is a fictional HBO show about 3 polygamist wives and their husband that live in Utah. The show is centered around their family life and keeping their marriage secret as its illegal and Bill (the husband) is a prominent man in the community. Bill was supposed to be the Profit of the fundamentalist compound but was ousted from the polygamist community before he was to take over. I highly recommend this show!

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

I love this comedy! It is about a woman that has been stuck in a bunker for for 15 years. After she is freed she moves to New York City to start her life. Her attitude is so positive and her roommate is Titus Andromedon and he makes the show for me. I relate to him so much.

Clone High

Clone High is a cartoon about a high school filled with a government experiment of cloned famous guys and ladies. Easily my most favorite show. I've loved it since I first watched it in high school. I quote it all the time and if any one gets it they become instant friends with me. If you like to laugh this is the show for you.

Don't Trust The B In Apartment 13

June moves to New York for her dream job only to find out the company goes under on her first day. She is forced to find a new job and a new apartment. She meets and moves in with Chloe, a scamming party girl that challenges June in every way. Chloe is the B in apartment 23.

Honorable mention:

Dawson's Creek

I haven't finished the series yet but I love watching it with Shilo! We get junk food and watch episode after episode. I catch myself yelling at the screen that Dawson is a Turd. I am for sure Team Pacey.
